The hotel offers a Hookipa Cultural Program, meaning hospitality in Hawaiian. It is an on-going series of interactive cultural classes created by Lanai’s kupuna, or Hawaiian elders for resort guests. As part of the enriching program, kupuna educate and share their cultural knowledge, oral history, tradition and art with guests. Program highlights include ukulele lessons, coconut weaving, lei making, and “talk story” sessions.
