Chacala Mexico Tennis
A Charming Mexican Village on a Quiet Pacific Bay
We were told about Chacala Mexico by some long time expats living in Guanajuato Mexico. For their getaways they loved this little seaside village that has retained much of its Mexican charm and is a haven for those looking to find a quiet place to totally relax.
Marina Chacala The Place to Stay if you are a Tennis Player
Being avid tennis players, who always travel with our racquets, we were a bit worried about going somewhere that may not have tennis. Bill had spotted courts on the satellite view on google maps and he was determined to find them. And he did. Marina Chacala has two very nice hard courts and you can play if you stay there or get an invite to play from someone who is.
The Chacala Tennis Community is Very Welcoming
We were introduced to someone who was a resident and were invited to play. Marina Chacala is walkable from the village so we set off early in the cooler morning temps with our tennis hosts to make the hike to the outskirts of the village to some great tennis courts. Marina Chacala community is gated and there are beautiful homes all through this expansive development that winds alongside the coast and through tropical landscape.
An Oceanside Village with a great setting and scenery
Chacala’s setting is magnificent. It is situated on a long, quiet secluded bay that is perfect for swimming, has soft sand for walking, and plenty of places to eat and drink right on the ocean. Oh, yes, and perfect sunsets.
Lots of Old Mexico left to Experience
From Mariachi to traditional tacquerias. If old Mexico is what you want you will find it here. The expat community is close and the locals are welcoming. This lovely Chacala keeps its village charm and that’s just one of things that make it very special.
